Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: AVerMedia Game Capture HD (C281)-Record Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii HD Gameplay in Real-time up to 1080P (Personal Computers)
Bought this for my son for his birthday. Says it's plug and play but the connections to the tv are composite (red, white, yellow) and it needs component (red, blue, green) you can't find converters for love or money! I'm disgusted that this is not made clearer on the box. Avermedia haven't replied to my calls for support info either. No one in retail seems to know how to help either. Lead to one very disappointed 15 year old and ruined his birthday!

C. Brady says:
Get a PS3/XBOX component lead. They are cheap and they will sort out your situation. Good luck!

If your TV doesn't have the component inputs on the back then its probably not a HD TV, So you wouldn't be able to pass the HD signal from the capture device through to the TV.
But If you mean you don't have the component cable to connect your console to the capture device then you should be able to buy one for a relatively cheap price.

It is always mandatory to read the specifications of a product before purchasing (rather than looking at the box ;-) )
On this Amazon website Aver Media states it very clearly..(on own aver media web site even more detailed)

Suzanne, you should not score or review the product since there was nothing wrong with it or its advertising and you did not have change to try it
We need constructive reviews and scores and yours just misinformed us all gamer's community.
please remove and as soon as you have HD TV buy it and then place a real good review :-)
