This review is from: Pocket Rough Guide Lisbon (Pocket Rough Guides) (Paperback)
Having just returned from Lisbon, I can honestly say that this guide book fails to convey the essence of this city as it currently stands, now so run down and covered in graffiti, and the writing is lazy in the mode of "this square has lots of cafés with nice cakes" sort of thing.
The pull-out map is made of such flimsy paper that it is unfit for purpose, prices are out of date and vital details of key attractions - opening days, times and so forth - are printed in such spindly grey type as to make them almost illegible, certainly when one is trying to read them on the move.
I almost chose the Marco Polo guide instead of this one - and wish now that I had.
