NEVER AGAIN !!!,
This review is from: BitDefender Total Security 2013 - 3 User 1 Year (PC) (CD-ROM)
I think that there s no words strong enough to describe Bitdefender Total Security 2013.. Even in my worse nightmare, it s NOTHING compared to what that program does to your internet experience and does to your health... so frustrating it is horrible.
My usual antivirus subscription was about to end and I read some amazing reports from various magasines and websites about Bitdefender.. so.. i bought it and installed it
The interface is quite easy to use, in fact, nothing special.. as far as design and look are concerned
NOW as far as internet security... ... well.. forget about it. One thing I can assure you, is that Indeed, no virus, malware, trojan or worm or whatever you can possibly imagine will ever enter or infect your PC with that thing turned on..
for the simple reason that it blocks everything.,
e mails.. pictures, videos. you name it., keyboard non responsive, alarms that popped on when nothing was happening, my skype and my Adobe Photoshop got erased as Bitdefender found some sorts of virus when I was trying my webcam and working on one of my own picture taken with my own camera and installed directly inside my PC.... unable to send a simple e mail without having to key 8 or 9 times the same sentenses because BD was scanning everything.
2hrs to download a 140MB MP4 video sent from a member of my family. To a point that I wonder if Bit Defender was autoscanning every single frame or what.. we are on High Deb wifi.. and before i installed BD total security, such a movie would not even take 3 minutes to be downloaded...
You try to do the simple thing, it becomes a nightmare.. Even accessing my bank details were almost impossible, Bitdefender blocking my passords and refusing to let me enter my usual banking portail to such an extend that I was using my mac for that.. as it was ever so frustrating. unable to enter my e mail as he blocked my password for security risk..
if you want to get a nervous attack or become so frustrated that you may wanna crush a glass... be my guest.. load on Bit Defender Total security and let the nightmare begin.. and i can assure you.. it is more than a nightmare, it s cyber version of Hell... and that s an understatement...
I removed it with sheer joy and gave the disk with the 2 licences left to my ex.
