Of course we knew and loved george's music but lets get one thing straight.
The Beatles, including george were very good EDITORS of their work hence none I repeat NONE of their solo works could match their combined efforts.
I am someone who will buy an album for just one good track.
Lets forget all the histrionics about the fab 4 and get real.
All Things Must Pass for a start was an incredibly overated album, George Martin would have got a great single album out of the 3 and none of the others were much to shout about with the exception of Cloud 9,.
In todays money that album cost a weeks dole money.
This one slightly more!
However as I said I'd buy it just for a track on each disc.
While everyone is is pontificating about his place in music history etc. etc. have any of the tracks been remixed in 5.1?
After all it was george who supervised the 5.1 remix of Yellow Submarine, (the DVD not the album)
I still like the tracks in mono but this is 2004 and being the philistine that I am would like to hear a bit extra for £65
