what a lovely surprise,
This review is from: The Hand That First Held Mine (Kindle Edition)
i have not read any of her other books, i picked this one up at the airport in the hope its not some lazy chic-lit, i am wanting something 'adult' not rude just something that challenges me and fits my life now. to say i was pleased with my choice is an understatement. i loved it! it ticked all the boxes and i hated for it to end.
to me it felt like a book about motherhood - but in the most unusual way, i would be surpriesed if this was the authors intent but thats what it did for me. i did not feel the way described when i first had my child but i could imagine it very easily and i still feel warm inside thinking about the maternal love that grew within lexi, how unexpected.
