When I purchased two of Susan Alisons beautiful pictures of Border Collies I had no idea she was also an author. I thought going by the humour shining through in her artwork that her book would be a good read and I was right! If you think it will be 'just' chick lit, a fluffy tale of love and dogs, you are wrong. Burglaries, drugs, severed fingers and hired thugs pop up in the pages between laugh out loud moments of humour usually contributed to by Moocher the much loved (but whiffy) dog.
It's difficult to put this book into a certain genre, it's a bit of Terry Pratchett style surreal humour, the lovable smelly dog of Mark Wallington (500 mile walkies), a crime novel and a love story all in one. Go buy it!
