This review is from: My Lord Vampire (Immortal Rogues series) (Kindle Edition)
Oh dear! not only is this a reprint from 2004 from a romance series it is quite a dismal reprint. The story is Ok if you've not read anything about Regency England - no, I tell a lie, the story isn't Ok. It is very slow, very dull and not what I expect from Alexandra Ivy. I presume this was written early in her writing career when a lot of authors started out by writing romances and that's perfectly OK. Unfortunately to republish it when the author's style has changed, the genre in which she writes has changed and the expectations of her readers are for good witty stories about sex and vampires but they are sold a dull stilted tale about a very unsexy vampire (what a wimp!)it feels like a cheat and doesn't do the author justice. It doesn't help when words aren't quite right either - in England the word momentarily means for a moment and not in a moment, so when drippy Gideon said 'I will be with you momentarily' it made no sense and after that I couldn't really be bothered.
I'm sorry I bought it, and I won't be buying the other two - I'm going back to read the Alexandra Ivy books I do like - the ones with tall, witty vampires with a good story and lots of sex.

Oh, dear! I wish I had seen your review before I bought this book; I too, went by her name and her later books. The only good thing is that I only paid £2.73 for it, but, I hate being taken for a ride.

Actually I too am English, 'momentarily' I think you will find is used in both contexts and certainly I understood it to mean in a moment in the context it was used. You are wrong.

Nevertheless, it is still a terrible book and a complete waste of time.
