Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Mobilizers: High Speed 7 Ports USB 2.0 HUB With 7 Power Switches And Led Lights For Laptop / Notebook / PC / Computer / Tablets - BLACK
Bought this because I liked the idea of having multiple modules connected, and be able to switch the chosen item on and off rather than plugging and unplugging USBs which is fiddly at best and probably damages the terminals long term. Truth is it powers whatever you plug into it, but there is no data transfer. Mouse lights up, USB drives light up but neither can be read by the computer. It has a terminal to connect a power adaptor to it, but you should not need power to operate a mouse. It powers the cooling fans I use under my laptop and external drive, but not what I bought it for. Hoping to return it for refund, or exchange if this is a one off dud and supplier reassures it really can work.

your problem is you did not follow the logic of the situation. just get an adapter (easier said and more troublesome to do, i know). i liked what seems a well designed product. it could be made wider and longer for ease of use, but manufacturers would rather short change the customer. than add a penny to their cost. it is easier to pretend we all have supple baby fingers as far as they are concerned. the japanese started small is beautiful, but i suggest you do not try to get a girl friend with that line. the problem is usb hubs need power. it is pure nonsense to state otherwise. the sellers seem crooked because they do not mention the voltage for any adapter used to run it. to me the sellers like shooting themselves in the foot. it needs an adapter and they mention it, but do not state a solution, because all they want is your money.
