This review is from: Domke F-5XC Large Shoulder Bag (Camera)
I recieved mine from amazon today, after a wait of only five days, that's with free delivery. First off it's smaller than I thought, even though I looked at the measurements before buying. I also considered the F-5XB but I'm glad I went for the bigger one. The two front pockets are kind of pointless, maybe a good pen holder. The velcro is nowhere near as bad as many reviewers (especially on youtube) have said. I went for the olive green model, which is very unassuming and certainly doesn't look like over a hundered pounds of bag.
I have mine set up as recomended by someone on youtube, with one divider being used as a fake floor level with the front opening zip, and the other forming a compartment at the side. It easily fits a smaller dslr XXXD with either 50mm attached and 24-105 in the bottom compartment. But normally when walking and taking photos the camera only goes back into the bag for the drive home. I agree with the other reviewer that there's not much space for non camera items, and when I use it for day trips I intend to just take the camrea and 50mm, using the other space for water, snacks (essential for a day out)and a book.
I do plan to upgrade to a better and larger camera soon and I think this bag will take the larger bodies, though I've not tested yet.
The main selling point for me was the zipped top compartment, I was surprised how few camera bags don't have top zips for security. Also the unassuming nature of the bag was a major selling point.
I'd deffinatly buy another Domke bag, though I like to see inside the bag before I buy it and the Domke website is very poor when it come to pictures of its products, strange for a photographic product.
