R. Grillo says:
Great...hope they include the excellent 12" version of 'Cruisin'.
Hold on.....where's Cruisin. Not included at all !! A huge hit (on the dancefloors at least, and a much bigger smash than some of the others) and completely missed off !

JP says:
Cruising wasn't a chart hit, so it therefore wasn't included. It's included on many previous Sinitta compilations.
There are 11 unreleased mixes here - so they were clearly of higher priority/interest to fans/buyers. Both discs are full to capacity.

I recall "Crusing" was a big HI-NRG dance hit and was the flip side to "So Macho" (both great pop/hi-nrg classics)
I pre-ordered this fantastic CD, should arrive this week!

Cruising was her first ever single and was on the fanfare record label (12FAN02) , It was followed by So Macho which was backed with a remix of cruising and released as a double A side single ( although all radio dj's decided to play the so macho side only ) (12FAN05) .
I think R.Grillo is right , Cruising may not have been a chart hit but it was her first ever single release and should have been included just because of that - particularly seeing as only 10 of her singles have ever charted and there are 17 single versions on the first CD . Still an excellent CD compilation however especially as it includes all 3 mixes of one of her best ever "I don't believe in miracles" which was criminally unsuccessful when released only getting to number 22 in september 1988.

Cruising wasn't Sinitta's first single at all. Before singing to Fanfare (Cruising was her first release on the label) Sinitta had I Could Be and Never Too Late first.

Crminally unsuccessful!? Criminally bought you mean, but there, people bought everything Stop Aching us Waterman burped out of their carsie! 22! 122 would be too high for it. For God's sake, the 80s was full of intelligent pop/rock that often never made the charts (especially if they weren't UK or US acts)! Do get some perspective but I suppose it's a bit late in the kiddie's pop flop store for that, huh? This is here as you had the absolute nerve to comment on my review of this daft CD. I don't know why you didn't just ignore it you silly sausage you!

Oh blah blah blah. And it just kills you that SAW were so successful. Good. You're just the kind of whiney loser that thinks their own taste in music or opinions are better than others, or that people that dare not share your views are less intelligent than your good self. It's all about personal taste.
If you don't like it great, but to slate others for not sharing your precious views? There will always be people like you to ram your thoughts down the throats of others and ridicule them for what they like. I could stoop to your laughable level and state that your great reviews for "singers" like Sandra and Paula Abdul doesn't help you in your quest to be taken seriously. BUT I won't :-) Get over yourself LOLLLLLL.

Oh blah blah y'self. No, what kills me is to have pompous hypocrites like you banging on here like their terribly embarrassing love for cheesy, mindless and sickening playschool trifles are actually worth getting all snarly over.
You ARE less intelligent-for a start, I ddon't like Abdul at all-if you READ my review you'd see I said she got extremely lucky working with the producers she did! You're far worse than I am-you can't even take constructive criticism of your schoolboy fantasies ( I tell you again, Kylie will never induct you into her family, so get over it and stop blaming me for it). You know nothing about Sandra-if you did, you'd realise she comes from a more intelligent musical stratosphere-where it takes talent, songwriting and ideas to make great tunes-and not just the recycled 3 min blunder that the atrocious S/A/W machine spout off! Wish you'd spout off-stop following my reviews-it's as creepy as your taste in music. And the nasty way you had a go at a Kylie fan with sense enough not toher rate her new album was hypocritical and unnecessary in the extreme. Christina Aguilera-so you don't like it! Fair enough but you shouldn't shove your opinions down everyone's throat Euromaniacal. Oh, sounding familiar...sounds like you. Go away you clot. (And what bad taste you have). P.s regarding S/A/W so-called success, so what-in Africa sleeping sickness is successful, burning down forests is successful. Ever heard that classic quote from the 90s? "Just cos something sells in shed-loads, doesn't mean it's any good!" Please inscribe that on your forehead you ridiculous, taste-free goon!

SAW's success has nothing to do with anything to do with Africa.
In any case I am SO happy that SAW "cheesy" pop music is in the world to annoy you THAT much you take the time to write about it on Amazon. And call SAW what you like, the fact that "recycled 3 min blunder" charted so well and sold millions upon millions of records for dozens of artists just really gets to you doesn't it?? That makes their success so much sweeter for me, knowing it upsets you that much. Maybe you're a frustrated musician without any form of success, or maybe just a loser. Or both. And you are doing exactly what you are accusing me of doing. When you judge people based on the musical taste then that's just rediculous. But your words prove how repulsive you are. When you say to me about not liking Christina "fair enough". Instead of following your own advice you slate others for liking something that is not to your taste. Gold!! But keep going and writing your anger laced reviews and attacks on other people's reviews, cos you really are entertaining me. Bit like car crash TV, ever heard of Anna Nicole Smith? You write out of anger and resentment. I respond to the likes of you with the same babble purely for entertainment and watching your anger escalate. Not going away either. The fact that you dare to critique others for having different taste to yourself is just so arrogant and I now will pay close attention to your reviews. God knows it's good to laugh. You are SOOOO bitter, been hurt before or have we love? |
