A very interesting read!,

This review is from: Can't Stand Up For Sitting Down (Hardcover)
I bought this book a couple of weeks ago along with Michael McIntyres Life and Laughing. After reading both i can say now that if you want to have a laugh then Michaels book is for you, it's witty and very cleverly written, Whereas Jo's book is more about her life and experience and all about comedy in the past (which Michael does touch on).
I actually really like this book however, Jo Brand is a fantastic comedian, and although there are funny parts to this book, it is more about telling you what her life was like, and I do admire her for that, as she hasn't deliberately tried to be funny. it is very interesting to learn about life as an aspiring comedian. It may sound boring but it is written extremely well and the book really involves and interacts with the reader.
So in a book shop with only £20 I would still buy Michaels book, but it would be a tough decision, If your interested in a good read rather than a laugh then i can think of nothing better than Jo's new book!
(Also Jo supports Crystal Palace, who are the greatest football team in the world!)
