Statistics made intelligible!,
This review is from: Analysis of Biological Data, The (Hardcover)
This book, aimed at undergraduate biologists, was the last that I bought after buying and reading 7 others - really. It not only contains breadth enough of stats. and clear workthroughs to allow non-mathematicians to grasp the essentials, but also presents statistical tests in such an accessible way that I would recommend it to anyone who has even a vague interest in understanding how scientists and statisticians quantify uncertainty. There is humour within of sufficient quality to make you snort out loud. UK 'Mail' haters, we can read this book and reaffirm and delight in our intellectual superiority!
