4.0 out of 5 stars Great machine but Lenovo staff are DEADFUL, 23 Jan 2013
This review is from: Lenovo G780 17.3-inch Laptop (8GB RAM, 1TB HDD) (Personal Computers)
I like the machine very much, using a wireless mouse which gets over the everything-on-LHS issue. BUT having bought it & an extended warranty from the Lenovo Online Store, I have registered both machine & ext warranty but still driven crazy by automated messages demanding further action, & Lenovo staff who either can't or won't read English. Result: stress levels astronomical, & wasted several days with no resolution in sight. I wish I had bought another machine with i7, 8GB RAM, & 1 TB HD. Avoid Lenovo like the plague!!!

Hi there
Thanks for your response. No; actually, it's more complex than a Kafka book at this stage. I DID receive an email a week ago headed "Extended warranty for [my laptop's correct s/n] successfully completed", and I thought: Great!! I read on, and in the body of the email it said again that it was completed successfully. "Good", I thought. Then it said: refer to the table below. In the table it mentioned my laptop and s/n, and the "contract number", and gave a status, which was "16". Reading on down, it gave the meanings of each "status number". Status 16 means "REJECTED"!!!!! I emailed again, of course; and this morning I received an automated "don't reply to this mail" email telling me my "case" has been referred to a person, who happens to be the very FIRST person I was referred to when I first took up this sad business with, some months ago (since then I've been passed from various person to person, most of whom seem to have little grasp of English or of the issue at hand - that I bought ONE laptop only; that I bought it from Lenovo Online, direct; and that I WAS told months ago that my extended warranty has been successfully done, but still I keep on receiving emails telling me that it hasn't! So...the short answer is "no".
I strongly urge anyone thinking of buying a Lenovo produce with extended warranty (for which you pay extra) NOT TO DO SO! It has cost me literally days and weeks of emailing, and so much frustration!
