Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Making Faces: Drawing Expressions for Comics and Cartoons (Paperback)
I bought this book a couple years ago, looked through it a couple times. Put it down. Never picked it back up again.
Basically, the book comes off as nothing more than a showcase for the artists involved. You don't get the impression they want to help you learn something as the comments linked to the images feel a bit cocky. And many images don't appear to correspond to the expression they intend to portray. Furthermore, some drawings are re-used for supposedly different expressions.
Some drawings are good, some OK. Either way, I don't think many people will be able to learn much from this book.
I must remember to sell my copy on, or try and give it away...
