This review is from: 50 New Year's Resolutions - How to Make Them, How to Keep Them (Kindle Edition)
This is an unusual book, quite quirky. I've never seen anything on this topic before and fancied getting some interesting suggestions for New Year's resolutions (or anytime resolutions, in fact, since Jan 1 is a busy time to be making plans).
The author really makes you think about exactly what you want out of a resolution and advises against trying to force yourself to do what you're not really motivated to do, and then works through 50 ideas for possible resolutions. I had the impression that she has experienced the massive bear traps that tend to scupper most resolutions - she has really thought through where you might fall down and shows you how to plan ahead to avoid that happening.
I particularly liked the idea of planning to go out for a treat every month (who said resolutions have to be to do something you don't want to do?), and the one about gaining 10 new life experiences in a year (which included going to a court hearing).
