Failed me on marathon day, and on last training run,
This review is from: Garmin Forerunner 10 GPS Running Watch - Green/Grey (Watch)
I bought this unit because they said it was simple. Butt the GPS unit froze on the last training run I did prior to this year's Cologne Marathon, which I was entered in. And then battery died, which I blamed on myself for not charging it for long enough prior to the run. Then Marathon day came and I made sure to charge it for at east the two previous nights. But the unit ran out of power again -- at 25 miles. So my rating after this is as few stars as possible, I am afraid to say.

What time did you do your marathon in? As the product description says it has a 5 hour battery life in GPS mode, so if you took longer than 5 hours, this would be why it ran out.

Stuart Parkinson says:
I am admittedly not fast, but also not that slow. To be precise it ran out at around 4 hrs 20 -- and to remind you, it could not have been more fully charged (unless the small print says something about how I screwed that up, too). On the previous run, before the battery ran out, the GPS froze at 12 miles. Funny you mention small print, because I also didn't realise that I was on the hook for paying the postage to return their faulty product.
