A great little tool box of ideas.,
This review is from: Learning Through Drama in the Primary Years (Paperback)
What? Another How to Drama Book!?!?!?! Ok, yes but here's one you should have. This book is written in such a way that the experienced teacher can read and not feel like he's being taught to suck eggs and the person with no drama teaching experience can have the drama process explained without being blinded by educational science!
It has a good clear layout and very clear explanations with lots of cross-curriculum examples and ideas. (Drama is not just leotards and rocks and trees, you know!) If you visit David's website or attended one of his courses, you'll understand that everything in this book is tried and tested and the website allows you to get more ideas and develop things further so you know it's up to date!
Ideas can be adapted and applied for Primary, Secondary, Mainstream and SEN education as well as youth groups and other situations where a spot of Drama might come in handy to occupy some time.
It's a great little tool kit for anyone who wants to craft something with a group of kids; so you provide the opportunities and let them bring the imagination. Then see what happens!
