Faulty item that destroyed my Pi and other peripherals.,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: The Pi Hut 7 Port Powered Hub for Raspberry Pi (Accessory)
Here is what happened...
Opened the packaging, hooked it up to the Pi on both ends (power and data), the External HDD, Xbox Wireless Receiver (for controllers) and a keyboard.
Then inserted the provided power cable and wham... sizzling and smoke. The plug must have gave it all too much power which blew the components on each device.
The hard drive just about works but still acts up now and again. The Pi, the receiver and keyboard are all non-functioning.
This is what happens when you go out your way to buy something recommended for the Raspberry Pi. You receive something that does the very thing you set out to avoid.
Worse of all, since this was purchased over a month ago, I can't ask for a refund. I've learned my lesson to not check on these types of goods on arrival, that's for sure.

you should still be able to get a refund... 30 is just for if you don't like something AFAIK... I recently returned a monitor after it developed a fault months after buying it
