Great pedal for the price,
This review is from: Behringer SM200 Slow Motion
A lot of people knock Behringer pedals, but I think this is one atleast is great.
The effect is pretty decent, with no noticble deterioration to the guitar signal. The controls take a while to get used to, and you have to adjust your playing style a bit to get the swells on faster progressions (you must mute the strings for the effect effect to kick in on the next strum/pick or whatever). The effect is perhaps not as shapeable as it could be, but it is very useable, especially with some delay behind it. It is great for atmospheric and ambientient noise, but probally not a trash pedal!
The body is plastic, but the overal build quality is very good for the money. That is really the key with Behringer pedals - they are great for the money, but they are not going to compete head to head with a more expensive pedal. People don't seem to understand that - it is rediculous to compare this to it's competition - which seem to be upwards of £100. If I am still playing with this pedal in 12 months I will probally buy one of those competitiors, but this is an effect which will probally be used sparingly. At the moment I love it.
On a side note if you are having trouble getting velcro to stick to the bottom for your pedal board peel off the rubber foot and stick directly to the plastic underside, worked really well for me!
