I love, love, loved this! I often find novellas to be a bit hit and miss, but this is definitely a hit.
There were so many elements that made this such a great short read. I loved the humour throughout the book, there were parts that were laugh out loud hilarious!
I really enjoyed having a non-conventional hero. It's not often that you get to read about a hero who is a blacksmith, but Aaron was a wonderful hero. He's yearned for Diana from afar, but has never acted on it- after all, she's so far out of his reach. But he's so passionate, and he's kind, protective and strong. Pretty perfect actually!
Diana makes for a very likable heroine as well. She's always struggled with bad asthma, and comes to the realisation that she should grab life and make the most of it. She has also, desired Aaron from a distance. I loved that she was so willing to try and prove she could be a good wife and partner for Aaron- I loved the scene where she tries to cook! Diana is very sweet, and I love how much she comes into her own. She also has a great relationship with her brilliant sister, Charlotte- I can only hope she has a book of her own soon!
This will send your emotions all over the place- from crying with laughter to just plain sobbing, a very impressive feat for a novella! I couldn't recommend this enough.
