Turlough in trouble again,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Ringpullworld (Doctor Who: The Companion Chronicles) (Audio CD)
This is a companion chronicle featuring Turlough, who travelled in the tv series with the Fifth Doctor. Turlough's character was never particularly likeable; from the start he was working for the Black Guardian, and as we see more of Turlough he appears to be largely crafty, cowardly and self-serving. However, he has his moments, and it is in such stories as these Companion Chronicles that some of his better character traits have a chance to be shown, however briefly.
The Doctor, Turlough and Tegan have inadvertently found themselves inside a universe within the universe - but Turlough wants to free the residents of the inner universe. The Doctor does everything he can to stop him - but why? We, the listener, find the story unfolding largely through dialogue between Turlough and Huxley, a novelisor from Verbatim Six who has a very annoying tendency to narrate Turlough's life as it is happening.
The story develops in a roundabout way; an unusual device for a Doctor Who story which leaves an ending slightly without an ending. But it's very clever and the story itself is very well narrated by Mark Strickson as Turlough, also voicing the Doctor and Tegan, with a suitably nasal Australian accent.

Just thought point out this is a fourth doctor sleeve on a fifth doctor audio review.
Good well structured review though.

Thanks timelord007 - I thought the character of Huxley was a well imagined idea.
