Mis sold by Amazon,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Kaspersky Internet Security 2014 - 3 User - 1 Year (PC) [Download] (Software Download)
Would have liked it better had it been the 2014 model as advertised. I was given the 2013 model , and no amount of updating will change it to the 2014. I have given up.

Consumer 101 says:
You can download the 2014 version from the kaspersky site and apply during installation the license code supplied with your purchase here as kaspersky do free upgrades. Nonetheless it is not right that you got the 2013 version. On any other product a refund would be due if the product was not as advertised (Sale of Goods Act 1979). I'm not sure how this applies to a software download like this.

I never had any trouble with new but outdated disks. When you first install it, an option should pop up saying a newer version is available, do you want to download it, then you would get the 2014 version. However post-installation and registration, the 2013 won't upgrade.

I assume ( but have not tried) that you could uninstall the software you have, download the free trial for 2014 and enter your registration code you got from amazon to activate for the full year. if that does not work you can always reinstall from your software library on amazon.
