An Amazing Book,
This review is from: Six Days: How the 1967 War Shaped the Middle East (Paperback)
This is a truly amazing work by Jeremy Bowen. The book chronicles a day by day account of the six day war covering all the parties involved. Its like reading a thriller but its all facts and history.
When reading the book you feel like you are living in that period and are following the events as they unfold. You learn about the incompetence of one side and the efficiency of the other, the damage done by worthless propaganda, the massacres and human rights violations and its consequences, the price of arrogance, the mystery surrounding the bombing of US Liberty warship, the plight of refugees.. but most importantly the reasons why the conflict still continues.
Understanding the 1967 war helps you understand what is happening today. Recommend it strongly. It was a pleasure to read it.
