"Diary of a Man in Despair" by Fritz Reck-Malleczewen,
This review is from: Diary of a Man in Despair (Paperback)
This book was written by my father, whom I witnessed hiding the entries in our orchard from the Nazis. So to me, who is biased, it is the BEST account ever written about this time. He wrote with a passion that even one, who blissfully has not lived in those days, cannot help but being moved by.

Congratulations on having such a great man as your father. I'm currently reading the book and I feel like I'm reading a kindred spirit.

Thank you, Bubo, your comment was so very kind. What my father did was really the only thing he could do. Like you, I hope I have it too, should I ever be faced with this hellish situation.
Thank you again,
