5.0 out of 5 stars It's frothy man!, 15 Aug. 2010
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Bialetti Tuttocrema Milk Frother (Kitchen & Home)
I've tried them all - Dualit £400 Cappuchino machine, The little battery powered whizzy spinners, Dualit's £50 heater/frother (waste of money), and Bodum's glass plungers like this (which inevitably get broken!). The double filter produces a denser, creamier milk of any machine I have tried (the lower the fat the better the froth). By the way, I have used it in my Panasonic microwave and no sparks - but beware - the handle gets incredibly hot - so best to still use it on the hob.

I have had my bodum since 2008 and it is not broken. Only way I can see this happening is if by accident and somebody drops it - just like anything breakable:-) Apart from that, how does this one perform for frothing up compared to the Bodum?

Slooowdown says:
I find the Tuttocrema gives a really rich thick foam as it has a double layer of filters. I am convinced it gives a creamier foam than my old Bodum.

Thanks for that. I will put it on my wish list:-)

What an awesome little gadget. I have never been able to produce a foam as good as this before! Incredibly good value considering it will be used every day. Very happy.La Cafetiere Bialetti Tuttocrema Frothing Jug, Teflon Non Stick Surface and Double Filter For Extra Frothy Milk
