It's just more of the same.,

This review is from: Gran Turismo 6 (PS3) (Video Game)
I've played all the GT games since the beginning. This is no different to any of the others, just more of the same. In fact less of the same currently as it seems to lack a lot of little things that are now in GT5, perhaps they were all the bits added as the game got updated, but this game really does feel light on features compared with GT5 and I've not seen any really major updates to this one yet that have made any difference to the playing experience. So its as enjoyable as all the rest, but I will confess i've reached my boredom threshold with it a lot sooner than previous versions and now stuck GTA5 back into the PS3!
I suppose I am more of an arcade racer (no steering wheel), perhaps thats the problem, I appreciate the superior handling of the cars in GT6 but I am unlikely to win a GT6 multiplayer online race (and I have tried with this and GT5 before) but I have won a lot of GTA5 online races.
So it looks great, car physics are good, but with each new edition of GT. GT6 being the worst case, I think they seem to forget to actually put any "game" into it and the single player just becomes this relentless grind, with little real challenge, you can either win any race straight off or go spend a bit of money on the car and then win!
The rewards seem less in GT6 as well. I'm sure in previous versions you won new cars for doing a lot less than in GT6.
And I confess I liked the B Spec game in previous versions. Another thing you had to grind away at but I actually quite enjoyed watching races, with just that minimal control giving instructions to your driver. I miss it in GT6.
Also miss the Top Gear track. I like the Goodwood Hill climb, but needs to be available to use with any car.
I like the inclusion of Brands and Silverstone. Having been on both circuits on track days then this adds to the experience when driving the virtual versions, but there are a lot of tracks out there, and rather than more and more cars I would like to be able to experience lots more tracks. Or at very least be able to do more with the current cars by way of customisation, colours, graphics etc.
So, its OK, that's about it.
