5.0 out of 5 stars Wow, 22 Oct. 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Roswell - Season 1-3 [DVD] [2000] (DVD)
Wow! That is my reaction after having all three seasons of Roswell. I cannot believe I have missed this TV-show! This is the best TV-series I have seen ever, despite its slightly low-budget feel. It is even better than Battlestar Galactica which has for long time been my number one favorite.. I guess that putting this movie on the first spot among TV-series moves down Smallville to third place and SG-1 to forth on my Sci-Fi shelf (for reference)..
The only thing I did not like was the somewhat negative view of authority, such as FBI, but except for that this movie is a work of a genius.. Wonderful cast..
What I cannot believe is that it actually was aired only for three seasons.. Were the studio executives on drugs or something?
When I was watching the final episode I truly felt that this is as good as life ever gets.
Thank You, the creators and actors (and everyone else) behind Roswell. You are perhaps not aware of this, but you have written history! This is a movie that will be watched like 10000 years from now. Despite all its simplicity, a true classic!

I feel the same way as you! Whenever I watch any episode, or even the intro, I get transported to their little town and I feel like I just wanna be there in their lives, even if just to watch the characters interact with each other and go about their daily business. Each and every character in the cast was wonderful and I absolutely loved everyone's relationships with each other, like Liz and Maria, Maria and Michael, Liz and Maria and Alex, even the little relationships that were small were so well done like the sheriff and Maria's mother, Kyle and Max, Max and his boss at the UFO Center. When I watch it, I too feel like this is "as good as life gets". The scene in the intro when it shows the title "Roswell" against a backdrop of the desert roadway with lightning and rolling clouds....it takes me back to the 3 years when I was living in Texas and watching this show on TV......sigh, miss those days.
