is it worth the money?,
This review is from: The Tales of Beedle the Bard, Collector's Edition (Offered Exclusively by Amazon) (Hardcover)
The book itself is a good read if your a fan of J.K.Rowling and Harry Potter. The special edition isn't quite as nice as it could have been, I think they have tried a bit hard with the design, sometimes less is more. The design is a bit over the top, less bling and more style would have been nice as I bought the special copy for my mother. Not a bad buy overall but I have to say I was slightly disappointed because it wasn't what I was expecting and I dont think it was necessarily worth the money.

the collector's edition is based on the 7 designed by jk rowling, one of which amazon paid generously for. if they hadn't, we wouldn't be enjoing this book. the 'bling' as you call it, is recreating what jk rowling did to the 7 she made. tbh i think the style is reminiscent of the harry potter books, not the books we read, but the actual books within the harry potter world, is what he would use at school etc. i don't think it's in any way over the top and represents what it's supposed to. maybe only harry potter fans can understand that!
