This review is from: The Fly: Ultimate Collectors' Edition Box Set [DVD] (DVD)
does this DVD-set feature 7-discs: the original 1950's THE FLY 1-3, and the 2-1980's remakes? cause the picture of the inside of the set only shows 2-discs? and does anyone know if the DVD's for THE FLY(1986) and THE FLY II(1989) contain the directors un-rated version plus special features, or is it the standard DVD with no special features?

G. Morgan says:
Yes, this set is 7 discs. 1 Disc each for the original trilogy, and 2x2-Disc sets for the 80's films (equivalent to the region 1 Special Edition releases).
There are no director's "unrated" versions for either film - not sure where you have got this idea from. The only scene that you will spot any difference in - if you have never owned these films on DVD before - is the infamous "descending cage" scene from "The Fly II" which has almost always been edited slightly when shown on TV. Other than that, there is no difference, and certainly no "Director's Unrated Version" of any of the films - they simply do not exist and, again, I'm not sure where you have got this from.
Special features - if you read this page before you commented, you would have seen L White's excellent run down on what features are contained.
Finally, why have you rated a product with 5 stars when you don't even own it?
