This book didn't really do it for me. This book was written thirty years ago and it shows in the recipes - they seem dated and weren't inspiring. And for me, a recipe book has to be inspiring otherwise the recipes could be the greatest in the world but if you don't feel like you want to try them then its charms will forever remain unlocked. There are a few cookery authors who use yoghurt imaginatively these days (Ottolenghi is one) and write recipes that make you want to try them.
This isn't, of course, a reflection on the author since he's not around to update his book, but I think the publishers could have had a go when they reprinted it three years ago.
The introduction and the writing style is warm and charming, very chatty.
However, I make my own yoghurt and I found Yoghurt by Sonia Uvezian to be more helpful for this (citing exact temperatures, which some people - like me - need).
