1.0 out of 5 stars Bad DVD! Don't buy! Not anamorphic widescreen!, 5 Jun. 2009
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Death Becomes Her [DVD] [1992] (DVD)
Can't believe this is a newly released DVD! More like a repacking one! It listed as 1.85 anamorphic widescreen on the cover, but it is in fact a normal letterbox widescreen version! All the shimmering artifacts present throughout, and image is soft, grainy and dark! Sound is just Dolby Stereo! A short making-of feature and trailer are included - in fullscreen.

How could they release such stuff after 11 years of it initial released? Damn to Universal! I want my money back!

Mr. M. Cole says:
On the wikipedia page for this film it notes that fans of the film have complained that the DVD picture quality is awful (grainy and muted colours etc) and it is strongly believed that the film was transferred from an old laserdisk hence the quality issues. I really want to buy the film but not until these issues have been sorted.
