5.0 out of 5 stars A Film Worth The Wait, 20 Sep 2010
This review is from: Father Dear Father - Film [DVD] (DVD)
I used to watch Father Dear Father many years ago. The feature film, however, is very funny and a must for all Father Dear Father fans. Patrick Gargill, Anne Holloway and Natasha Pyne with Noel Dyson who plays the very innocent nanny are a delight. Richard O'Sullivan (Man About The House) plays the dim wit boyfriend who tries to elope with the younger daughter played by Anne Holloway. The van he uses breaks down and Patrick Gargill helps to fix it without realising his daughter is involved. Meanwhile he is due to marry his agent which turns out to be a farce because they both don't want to marry and discover this at the church! Patrick has another problem - his ex wife has left her husband and wants to seek refuge at his house! Patrick's mother who is hard of hearing also tickles the funnybone when she mis-hears what is being said to her over the phone. In the end Patrick doesn't marry his agent, the youngest daughter doesn't elope and Patrick's ex wife goes back to her husband! - I can't wait for the DVD to be issued so I can view it over and over again instead of waiting for it to be shown on TV!

Thanks for spoiling the film. Won't have to watch it now as I know what happens. How utterly selfish of you.
