5.0 out of 5 stars An Excellent Introduction To Spanish Grammar, 1 Aug. 2011
This review is from: Easy Learning Spanish Grammar (Collins Easy Learning Spanish) (Paperback)
This book is an excellent introduction to Spanish Grammar. It's aimed at elementary to intermediate level. So whether you're studying Spanish at secondry school or taking an evening course this will be ideal.

The book is full of clearly laid out examples of Spanish and English sentences that are translated - this is great for learning. It also has plenty of examples of where not to translate directly from English to Spanish which is very common when learning a second language.

Whether you are planning to use your Spanish in Spain or Latin America is not important as the grammar is the same - it's just the vocabulary that is sometimes different - just like US and British English.

I've been in Spain since 2004 and have an advanced level and I still sometimes find myself dipping into the book.

It's definitely worth having a look at other books in the series - they are first class.

I agree with reviewer J.Lock that this is an excellent book, and I posted a short review of it recently. I also purchased the Collins Italian Grammar book, and found this to be excellent also; the book laid out in generally the same format.
I'm also and advanced Spanish, Italian and French speaker, having had to use those skills in my international employment in the past.
The only negative aspect of these books, perhaps from some readers' perspective, could be that there is no pronunciation guide in them? I know that it is very difficult to do include this, to cover all of the differences in pronunciation.
