Does not work with Windows 7,
This review is from: Sabrent USB 2.0 Video & Audio Capture DVD Maker [A/V-to-USB 2.0 Digital Video Adapter] (USB-AVCPT) (Personal Computers)
This device simply does not work with Windows 7 - the driver is not recognised and hence it is useless for this operating system. Looking on the internet after the event unfortunately, it appears others have had the same problem - really this should be flagged up in the advert - I know it is a Windows 7 problem not the device that is at fault but it is only right that attention is brought to this.

Have you tried installing it in `compatibility mode`?

You can use the item on Windows 7 and Vista (All versions including 32 bit and 64 bit) I have been using it for the last 3 weeks using the custom drivers. I was just about to give up on this item. I came across this driver online and I have it working with a freeware program called Golden Video. It works a charm!
I just downloaded the drivers from: http://pikashop.shoply.com/product/easyca
Google search golden video and try that. It'snot like ulead software supplied but if you want hassle free one click capture to PC or direct to DVD then this is the best. Golden video also allows you to do some editing but admittedly its not worth the bother and ULEAD is better for that.
Hope this helps!

I took your advice, paid for the drivers but they would not open from zip form, no help forthcoming from seller/s. Perhaps I'm doing something wrong?

I had the same problem. I contacted them and they sent me a file that worked via email. Funnily enough I had the same problem. They were really helpful :)

Thanks for your response, I wasn't really bothered about Easycap anyway but good that you are fixed, I now transfer my vhs to dvd by means of my dvd/hdd recorder, much better quality, wished I'd thought of it before.

Andrew McCullough says:
The reason it doesn't work is because of the following.
The name of the company has changed and is no longer "Easycap" its now Ezcap all other brands that have the similar name are fakes and do not work.
like they say on their website, "You get what you pay for.".
