Japanese Military Aircraft,
This review is from: Japanese Military Aircraft: The Air Force of The Japanese Imperial Navy: Carrier-Based Aircraft, 1922-1945 (I) (Air Collection) (Paperback)
Having just recently come across this series of books I was intially delighted,as the majority of Japanese Aircraft books I own are in the Japanese language,so basically they are picture books only. First, let me say that the aircraft profiles are superb and there are lots and lots of them. The 8 volumes cover all Imperial Japanese Army & Navy planes with literally hundreds of different colour schemes ideal,no doubt, for the aircraft model builder. However the 4 star rating is due entirely to the Spanish/English translation. It so bad it might as well be called Spanglish. It is not enough to just translate into Pidgin English . A random example and there are lots of them "Characters of black colour in both sides of the fuselage, and in the outer surface of the plane of superior sustenation ,but in greater dimensions. In the white colour,on the drift of red colour and elevators of he himself colour" Make of that what you will. Hopefully any subsequent editions will have technically savvy input.
