This review is from: Lost Lanes: 36 Glorious Bike Rides in Southern England (London and the South-East) (Paperback)
Nice stories but not so easy to use practically. Not enough recommendations.

Hi there - in what way do you find the book difficult to use practically? Each ride comes with the option of (1) a GPX download for a GPS device, (2) concise turn-by-turn directions on single sheet of A4 (download and print from the Lost Lanes website) or (3) a good old Ordnance Survey 1:50,000 map, which is printable from the Lost Lanes website. No other guidebook offers all three options for navigation.
In the book, each ride has a section of recommendations on places to eat and drink on the route as well as comprehensive descriptions of places of interest en route.
You won't find another cycling guide book with more recommendations or more options for navigation while riding.
I hope this is helpful.
