dark corner of your heart,
This review is from: The Road (Paperback)
This book was both profound and incredibly depressing. Instead of feeling cheated by this I felt amazed that any author could write a book that made feel so exhausted and distressed yet willing to read on to the conclusion. I wish I could write like McCarthy. His work abounds with lyricism and I suggest that this book will speak volumes to anyone with a conscience or a heart. The all knowing qualities of the father combined with the painful innocence and hope of a child were almost too much too bear and yet the contrast was full of genius.
