Extremely American, unhelpful layout,
This review is from: Ben and Jerry's Homemade Ice Cream and Dessert Book (Paperback)
I should have realised that a Ben & Jerry's cookbook would be a very American affair. As a result, I have found it very hard to use. Despite the colourful cover the inside of the book does not have any photographs of the finished product. The quantities are are all aimed at the American market - i.e. cups of sugar etc and many of the ingredients are not available in the part of the UK in which I live - for example I have never heard of a 'Heath Bar'. I wish I had saved my money and bought another ice-cream recipe book instead.

They probably would have done well to publish an "anglosized" version of the book (Much like you can find Jamie Oliver books for the American market) But having said that.it doesn't take much to use a substitution. Heath bar, is basically like a Dime bar- Hard toffee covered in chocolate. And i love using cup measurements- i just pick up a tea cup and roll with it - so long as everything is measured from cups, it'll work out fine. Very handy when you don't have weighing scales.
