This review is from: The Dark Sacrament: Exorcism in Modern Ireland (Paperback)
After reading the first few pages of one of the stories in this book I quickly realised that it is exactly the same as the other book by the authors entitled the Dark Sacrament `True Stories of Modern Day Demon Possession and Exorcism'. The title is different, the cover is different, even the layout inside is different but the two books are one and the same! What a con! Another attempt to get the unwary to part with their cash by re-packaging the exact same product!
If you already own Dark Sacrament `True Stories of Modern Day Demon Possession and Exorcism' don't by this one!!

David M. Kiely says:
Cridne, I'm sorry you feel cheated but believe me there was no "con" intended. The book you've reviewed above is the first edition, published in Ireland by Gill and Macmillan. We subsequently sold the American rights to HarperOne in San Francisco, who produced hardback and paperback editions, with the subtitle "True Stories of Modern Day Demon Possession and Exorcism". Those editions differ from the Irish version in this respect: Harper wished to include case histories involving only the two principal exorcists we covered in the Irish version. This meant that we dropped a number of cases and included others not found in the Irish version. ~ David M. Kiely (co-author, The Dark Sacrament)
