It works well, with the expected [USB3] speeds being realised. You should be on your guard that it's not just a matter of plug 'n' go; you have to find a power supply (free cable inside the PC's case) and attach it with an appropriate connector/adaptor. My own rig is well supplied with such and I had no problems. Just follow the instructions (tiny print!) to install the drivers and you'll be fine.
The sockets point out of the back of the case of the PC, which is normal for add-on cards, but as I also have sockets on the front of mine, I'm going to try to bring a couple of USB 3 sockets to the front panel.
