5* for only fools 0* for the box set,
This review is from: Only Fools and Horses - The Complete Collection [DVD] (DVD)
I only give this 5* because Only Fools is a great British classic. As a previous reviewer says correctly it is incredibly frustrating that they churn out these box sets at christmas with half the decent stuff missing. The musical scores are not all there, scenes and dialogue frustratingly deleted. How much is it to ask for a truly complete box set, especially with how much it costs. I've already got all the dvds individually - whats the point of now buying this unless there is genuinly something new. I would also (although this will probably never happen) love to have Red Dwarf calibre extras. Those who buy the red dwarf series will know what I mean when you get an incredible amount of behind the scenes and other extras which are worth the money in themselves. Its a shame that the BBC is again trying to churn out another boxset with a different cover to milk this great franchise.

Great review, All the BBC want, and all they ever want, is to give the people who make the BBC possible, we the license payers, the least value for the most amount of money they can get from us. This set is a rip-off, and I will not buy it.

It's a not a rip-off though is it? £56 for every episode ever made it's anything but a rip-off.
I've bought this box set and think it's great. The cuts are minimal - if we're honest the BBC could have taken this show to pieces by removing anything un-pc, but they didn't and the show is all the better for it.
I've watched the unedited versions and I own this version and don't feel there's much difference. I certainly don't watch an edited version and think it's been ruined.
Also it's not a "Great review" - it's biased and inaccurate. There's not "half the stuff" missing for a start - if you see the full list of cuts you'd be surprised at how little has been removed. And Royal Flush? (someone will bring it up) John Sullivan's idea to make the largish cut here because he didn't like how he cast Del in that episode, so that's not the fault of the BBC.
"whats the point of now buying this unless there is genuinly something new" - because it's probably aimed at people who don't own OFAH already?
