Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Archie Americana Series Volume 8: Best Of The Sixties Book 2 (Paperback)
I bought this based on the cover's combination of Woodstock logo, "Sugar, Sugar" and hippie fashions etc., which indicates a collection of cartoons relating to the youth culture of the late 1960s. In reality, the vast majority of the content is from 1960-1966. One story makes a reference to the peace movement, and one fashion page shows bell-bottoms, but the rest is completely unrelated to the cover art, with the one story from the late 1960s, "The Line", being mainly a retread of a famous cartoon short, "Duck Amuck", from 1953. This album is such a shameless case of luring the customer in with false marketing that in the future I will avoid buying albums from Archie Comics Publication.
