This review is from: Cards Against Humanity: UK edition (Toy)
Yes, it's a rude, crude variant of Apples to Apples. Players take turns to play an incomplete sentence ('black') card from one deck, and everyone else has to play a noun ('white') card from their hand. The first player then judges which is funniest, and whoever played that gets a point.
Given what's on the cards, this one will either go down a storm with the people you're playing it with, or it will be like throwing up on the bride at a wedding... you may not be invited back. But if they think the problem with Bernard Manning was that he just wasn't crude enough, you've no worries on that front.
The most interesting bit is comparing the UK edition with the original US one. Apparently, Americans are expected to know about German Dungeon Porn, but not Pussy Galore. We're supposed to know who Barack Obama is (duh) but not why Michele Obama's arms and Toni Morrison's vagina are so apparently funny.
The good news is that a) you can see exactly what you're getting at the publisher's website (where you are encouraged to print your own copy) and b) Apples to Apples is, contrary to another review, still available.
