Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I purchased this as an underblanket for my massage table (being a therapist) it fits the table prefactly, heats quickly and has been an excellent purchase.

ah, just what I'm looking for - did your clients find it comfortable to lie on?

No complaints, in fact the only comments have been "ooh, lovely and warm". Just have to remember to turn it off when starting a treatment especially if using oils, or down if no liquid being used, don't want them to cook!

ah, don't know if I've ever had it turned off for a massage but sounds like a plan, thanks so much for your speed response - how many covers do you put over the heated one (and under the client)

I lay it on a towelling couch cover (as couch is a plastic finish), then another towel on top of the blanket followed of course by the paper couch roll, another reason to keep it off or low. The blanket is then sandwiched. The reason I turn it off is simply because it is a bed eletric blanket and not designed for use with clients laying on it and the possibility of dribbling oils on it whilst on. I leave it on during Reiki though.

good point! I might look to try to find one of those you can actaully leave on throughout the night so that it can remain on (although you do that for Reiki). I guess at the wonderful price it is it's worth an experiment. Thanks again

I did purchase a massage couch heated blanket, cost of around (from memory) £35.00. It was worse than useless, no real heat probably because you could leave it on it didn't heat to a good temperature. I returned it and bought this one. Have absolutley no complaints. Provided the room is warm, the fact that you turn the blanket off should make no difference to the client. I don't turn it off until I am ready to put the oil on.They have laid on warmth initially when they have stripped off, then are covered with a towel with you working on exposed areas, nothing really gets a chance to get cold. Good luck with your choice.

Ms. H. R. Morgan says:
what size did you order? i'm also a therapist and ordered a single size for couch but it's 120cm x 60cm not as described on page as 150cm x 70cm

Checked the order as it was Aug 2011, definiately a single was ordered, just measured it on the couch, 150cm x 70cm. They must have sent you the wrong size.
