This review is from: Shattered (Donna Harp Book 1) (Donna Harp Series) (Kindle Edition)
The violence described in this book is scarily brutal. You feel that the perpetrator is truly evil. Very disturbing to read. The rest of the book is OK, tending to farce at some points and a little unbelievable in the reactions of the villagers, including the local sergeant. Also a little unreal towards the end of the novel in how people recover from their injuries and go on to get involved in more action. Donna Harp is very much a secondary character in this novel until nearer the end, as she develops more into an actual character.
I'm a little on the fence about this book. I don't think I will be following Donna Harp's series though.
