Lost and confused,
This review is from: Lost and Found in Russia: Encounters in a Deep Heartland (Hardcover)
Was the book supposed to be a travelogue, historical description or other? Personally I found that the book does not excel in any of these categories. It's overly dramatic and absurd with descriptions of 3 legged cats and false pregnancies, etc; quite frankly I think any readers would receive a very distorted view of Russia after reading this. Having been to Russia I can say that it is a normal country with normal people far from the freaks and weirdos that are described by the author in this book.
