This review is from: Racing Through the Dark: The Fall and Rise of David Millar (Hardcover)
This is a really good book. a fast read and an insight to the true state of cycling in the two previous decades. choices were made, redemption earned through hard graft,
one man on the podium missed out on his day on his rainbow jersey - my only gripe
yes David and all of us deserve a chance to make amends - and he did make amends and he is a real talent and inspiration.
we are all character flawed in a minor way which makes us all unique and human. here the moth will almost inevitably fly too close to the flame.
a great read and it helped me understand what he went through and what it must have been like for most professional cyclists in europe and beyond at this time.
a great addition to my cycling collection of good reads
a takes a mature man (adult) to be brave enough to come clean and make amends. i do not care what chris hoy thinks because David has done more for real cycling.
