competant but ultimately lazy ports,
This review is from: SEGA Mega Drive Ultimate Collection - Classics (Xbox 360) (Video Game)
Backbone entertainment seem to make a living from porting classic games, and this collection is near perfect. My only complaints is more of the classics arn't here, most likely due to legal reasons (toejam and earl being the biggest example missing) as well as the sonic games completely missing any form of sonic and knuckles lock on feature! There is also a few arcade ports and video interviews, but these interviews have pretty much been just chucked on the disc from interviews sega staff have done in the past. Some of these games can be bought by themselves as dlc with online features (which this collection completely lacks) and even the sonic games, complete with any missing features, here's the ridiculous part though, those dlc versions are made by the same company no less! 1 word springs to mind... lazy.
Despite the flaws this is still a good collection, the only things that could match this collection are the original cartridges, buying them on steam or by non legal means... but you wouldn't do that last one now... would you?
