This review is from: Think Twice (Hardcover)
I really enjoy this series with the girls at the law firm and look forward to each new instalment. However I was a bit surprised at this latest book as it is quite different to the other books in this series up to now. Bennie Rosato is drugged by her `evil' identical twin sister Alice and then buried alive in a box, certainly doomed to die, however Bennie manages to escape only to find that Alice is impersonating her, even at work, and is so good at this that everyone thinks she is really Bennie and when Bennie shows up, tattered and bruised, everyone thinks she is crazy Alice. Meanwhile Alice is trying to get all of Bennie's money transferred into her account to escape from her old life.
This book is really action packed, if it was a movie it would be an action movie with guns, drugs, explosions etc., but I was struggling a bit with it. I was mostly taken aback by how different the style of this book is - usually the books are about court cases and this is what I was looking forward to here. I also found the plot just a little far-fetched. Having said that, full marks to the author for trying something a bit different and coming up with a new angle in the series, it's just not what I was looking for. I still give it four stars though as there are a few sub-plots involving Mary DiNunzio and her family, which kept me entertained.
