Be warned about the battery issues.,
This review is from: Philips Sonicare HX9172/10 FlexCare Platinum Rechargeable Toothbrush with UV Sanitizer (Personal Care)
I've noticed a few different reviews mentioning how great the previous models have been. Why are they replacing a £200 toothbrush so often?
I bought the previous model (HX6XXX series) and it died twice after about a year's use each time. The rechargeable battery is soldered in place so difficult to change and pretty much guaranteed to fail, lasting only a year. Both times, just out of warranty. Also the rubber seal at the top of the main body begins to disintegrate if you don't take the brush head off after every use. This lets water in, again rendering the device useless. Quick internet and video search revealed a lot of people are having the same issue.
